Growing Men’s Underwear Choices

Decades ago, men needed to have some new men’s underwear styles but back then women had a plethora of options to choose from. While the choices for women kept on increasing while men had nothing more than men’s brief underwear or men’s boxers. But that’s not the case now. Men have an equal array of options to go for or probably more than women now.

Nowadays, when you search for a good selection of men's fashion underwear, it can be a challenge deciding which ones you want or even if you're in the right aisle at the department store. This is one point where going online saves from the hassle of wandering and getting fewer choices to buy. Now it would seem that since it is becoming normal for men to wear stylish underwear, designers have been catching up with the ever changing trends in the apparel industry and growing needs of the modern men.

There are many reasons men started to wear designer underwear for the sole reason as simple as comfort, fit and protection. Initially the designer underwear were available in cotton or nylon fabrics but gradually technology changed and more eco-friendly or treated fabrics were introduced in the market for a wider variety of choices. Treated cotton (spun cotton, organic cotton, pima cotton), bamboo, leather, silk, satin, wool, polyester, and many more micro fibers that consist of blends of different fabrics woven together.

With all the emergence of fabrics and styles available to men, it did not stop there; was more come. The demand grew for more comfortable fitting sexy underwear such as men’s thongs (which are considered to be really comfortable), men’s g-strings (a skimpier version of thongs) or other styles. Of course with all these different fabrics, it wasn't going to stop there. In many cases, the appeal became, the less the material the better it would sell. Then you have the other side where for bicycle riders men’s jockstraps were designed as underwear and men’s boxer briefs for those who sought for something comfortable as well as supportive.

Today, men’s exotic underwear styles are somewhat like women’s apparels; be it men’s bikinis, men’s thongs, g-strings or even men’s c-strings. Though these are the common styles to both but the advancement and technologies incorporated in both are very different from each other.

At Skiviez, you’ll see the emerging trend from the plain briefs to the racy thongs offered by the plethora of brands including those, which have been there since the beginning of evolution of the face of men’s underwear industry.
